About Kelsey Milano
I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (#150222) seeing clients in person and remotely.
I received my B.A. in Theater Arts at UCLA and I earned my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute’s Depth Psychology program. For my graduate thesis, I published my research on the failures of the binaries in the medical and mental-health systems serving Trans* patients, and the contemporary psychoanalytic theories aiming to answer these failures. As a Trainee at Counseling West, I received comprehensive training in areas of adult attachment presentation and asset-based counselling. Next, I worked at Valley Community Counseling Clinic, which provided extensive clinical guidance in classical and contemporary psychoanalytic theory and therapy techniques. At the Los Angeles Institute and Society of Psychoanalytic Studies (LAISPS) I completed the Altered States of Body and Mind program, examining eating disorders, addictions and compulsions through a contemporary psychoanalytic lens. I continue to seek learning opportunities with the circumstances and needs of my patients in mind.
